Dal 22 al 24 settembre, si è disputato in Spagna, a Pontevedra, la Grand Final con in palio i titoli Mondiali di Triathlon Elite, Under 23, Paratriathlon, Age Group (Super Sprint e Standard) e di Aquabike.
L’Italia conquista in tutto 5 medaglie: due d’oro con Francesca Tarantello e Silvia Visaggi (PTVI) e Gherardo Mercati (Super Sprint M80), una d’argento ancora con Mercati (Standard) e due di bronzo con Angelica Prestia (Under 23, nella foto d’apertura) e Carlo Simongini (Super Sprint M60).
