“The power couple of XTERRA”, l’australiano Ben Allen e la britannica Jacqui Slack, ha vinto domenica 30 marzo la seconda edizione dell’XTERRA Great Ocean Road. Alle spalle di Allen si sono classificati lo spagnolo Roger Serrano e l’altro aussie Drew Box, con l’ironman Mitchell Anderson quarto; nella top ten anche un altro “ironcampione”, l’argentino Eduardo Sturla che si è classificato ottavo. Nella gara femminile, dominio di Slack che dopo il nuoto scappa via in mountain bike e aumenta il vantaggio nel trail run; dopo 11’30” arriva l’australiana Deanna Blegg, dopo un altro minuto l’altra aussie Penny Hosken. La campionessa ITU Annabel Luxford esce bene dall’acqua, ma si ritrova in difficoltà in mtb e chiude al quinto posto.

2014 XTERRA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING EVENTS
