Lisa Norden, medaglia d’argento alle Olimpiadi di Londra 2012 e campionessa del mondo del circuito ITU, ha annunciato che il prossimo 13 aprile parteciperà al suo primo triathlon 113, partecipando al Challenge Fuerteventura.

Norden ha scelto il Playitas Resort di Fuerteventura per il suo allenamento invernale: “I’m aiming to build a strong base through winter training at Playitas and look forward to a longer distance to challenge me at Challenge Fuerteventura. Challenge has a good reputation in the triathlon world and it will be a pleasure racing at Fuerteventura. Playitas offers great opportunities for me with the best possible training environment just outside the door when I wake up. The weather is stable and I have many other triathletes around me. The only thing I need to put my energy on is the workout.”

Il Challenge Fuerteventura apre la stagione europea, una corsa dura nella splendida isola vulcanica: dopo aver nuotato nell’Oceano Atlatico, ci sarà da lottare con il vento e il tracciato spettacolare della frazione bike; per finire con la mezza maratona, lungo la costa, con arrivo nel cuore del Playitas Resort.

Challenge Fuerteventura fa parte della serie mondiale Challenge Family che attualmente include 15 eventi, tra cui il festival del triathlon mondiale, il Challenge Roth. Gli altri eventi si svolgono in Germania, Austria, Canada, Gran Bretagna, Francia, Spagna, Italia, Danimarca, Nuova Zelanda e Thailandia.
