In Italia, 850 i partenti al 20° Triathlon di Andora, gara storica su distanza sprint; poi prima dell’Iron Italy, circuito di triathlon 113, a Barberino del Mugello e del triathlon mtb del circuito “Italy off road”; a Lido di Venezia, la 2^ dell’apprezzatissimo e unico Venice Cronotriathlon; quindi ancora mtb a Provaglio d’Iseo e Manerba sul Garda. Da segnalare anche la prova multisportiva Ötzi Alpin Marathon, sempre molto gettonata dai triatleti.
All’estero, partiamo da un mondiale, l’Extremadura ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships con campionissimi del circuito XTERRA al via e anche diversi azzurri. “The One & Only” Avia Wildflower 2011 è giunto alla 29^ edizione, 8.000 saranno i partecipanti alla “Woodstock del triathlon”, con tre triathlon in programma tra cui il clou su distanza “113”. Ancora il Challenge Fuerteventura con Niederfriniger e Passuello, gli Junior azzurri in Belgio, i campionati statunitensi di duathlon, il 113 di Lisbona, l’Ironman Australia (anche 70.3), lo splendido 70.3 di St.Croix, la seconda gara del 5i50 (triathlon no draft del neonato circuito WTC Ironman) che fa tappa al mitico St.Anthony’s Triathlon e dello Swiss Triathlon Pro Sprint.
