CRONACA
La Woodstock del triathlon mondiale è giunta alla 32^ edizione: tre le prove in programma, un triathlon olimpico, un cross triathlon e l’evento clou, il triathlon 113, ovvero il Wildflower Long Course Triathlon. In campo femminile, tripletta USA con la terza vittoria consecutiva di Heather Jackson, che vince con più di 6′ di vantaggio su Elizabeth Lyles; terza Laurel Wassner. Jesse Thomas tra gli uomini torna al successo, dopo aver saltato la passata stagione per un piede rotto, e conquistato così il suo 4° Wildflower Triathlon. Niente da fare per il kiwi Callum Millward, mentre terzo si è piazzato Matthew Russell che ha lasciato a bocca asciutta, al quarto posto, Andrew Starykowicz, come al solito devastante in bici ma in grossa difficoltà a piedi.
