Sabato 12 marzo in Nuova Zelanda si è corso il 2011 Wellington OTU Triathlon Oceania Championships, triathlon olimpico (1.5-40-10K) che chiudeva il circuito Contact Tri Series.

VIttoria per la stella di casa Kris Gemmell che ha preceduto di 6″ l’australiano Aaron Royle, terza piazza per l’altro aussie Cameron Good.

In campo femminile, ennesima vittoria per la scatenata britannica Vicky Holland, che ha preceduto di 8″ la ceca Vendula Frintova, terza la giovane aussie Ashleigh Gentle, neocampionessa continentale.

Tra gli Under 23 successi per Rebecca Kingsford e Ryan Sissons, tra gli Junior Mikayla Nielsen e Matt Brown.
